Horrible. We sat down at 5 pm. 5:05 - no waitress even though she walked by multiple times. 5:10 - still no waitress. 5:15 - left. During that 15 minus we asked the host 3 times for help. They promised she would come over right away. What a waste. Went to Sprechers and had an awesome meal and the service was great.

Ordered food to go, ravioli was cold and hard, cheese garlic bread overly greasy and they still forgot the marinara sauce after I asked her if it was in the bag and she assured me it was. Maybe food is better there but the take out was cold horrible.

I had high expectations and the menu looked awesome. Table of 8, our waitress wasn't never cracked a smile, but rather looked annoyed. Food was brought out for 6 people, one was incorrect...waited at least 5 minutes before brought out for other two and another couple minutes to correct the other. The burger which my husband ordered well done was burnt while the other well done burger at the table was okay. No apology for the messed up order and no check in from our origins waitress. On the flip side my daughters fish dinner was amazing. Sorry to say based on this experience I won't be back.

Service was slow , pizza was ok but not great. Prices are pretty good . Will try again soon

We were in the Lake Geneva area and ordered food from this place. The food was good, however, the alfredo sauce in the pasta alfredo that all the kids ate was bad. They all got food poisoning from it. I called the place to alert them to what had happened. Talked to Joni but they didn't seem to care much. I'll definitely be filing a report with the local health department, although incidents like this rarely get addressed unless they receive multiple complaints. Lesson learned, I'll skip this place from now on :)

Everything I had was just ok. Brat bites, lasagna, cheese soup. All just eh. Lot of locals and probably cheap comparing to all the tourist spots around this lake. I don't think id come back. I think I can gauge by this meal the rest would be the same. The glarus beer totally naked came with a nice glass I can keep. Small win I guess. The Food reminds me of mass produced frozen dinner stuff which sucks since they been here for 40 years and make their stuff supposedly. Oh well lake was nice

Decided to give this restaurant one more chance after having a bad first and 2nd experience. We are new to the Lake Geneva area and we're asking around for a good pub type restaurant. We were told to try Next Door Pub. So we packed up our 4 kids and headed over, the nice thing is we only live 5 minutes away. At first glance the place looked great. Staff was friendly everyone eating looked to be happy. The bar was packed. Everyone but me ordered pizza and that is not where this place falls short. It's all the other things on the menu that I dislike. 1st vist I ordered a burger and it was very obvious after the first bite it was a frozen patty with no taste. 2 visit ordered a pasta dish with steak and the steak had no taste and the Alfredo sauce was way to oily and had zero taste. 3rd visit was just me and my son and I only went there because I do enjoy their wings and shrimp appetizers. Once again I decided to try another one of the burgers. They advertise them to be fresh angus meat, that is the farthest thing from the truth. It's nothing more then a frozen patty with no tatse. My son who insisted on having a full slab of ribs was very unhappy. The ribs were terrible and the meat was so tough he only had about 3 bites. Good thing the plate was loaded with fries and coleslaw. Rather then complain and send it back we just decided to leave after paying to never return again. And to make it even worse the beer I ordered which was Blue moon was flat and warm. So other then the wings, shrimp and pizza this place has the worst food around. Staff if friendly and the atmosphere is good. We will never step foot in there again.

The place was packed so we were excited to think it was good food. We were mistaken. My lasagna was cold inside and my granddaughters chicken sandwich was pink and undercooked. The waitress was to busy and once our food was delivered she did not return to our table until it was check time. I would not go back.

My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine's Day last year and while it was packed, our service was wonderful and our food was delicious. I had lobster ravioli which was delicious and my salad was a wonderful blend of mixed greens and nothing like the normal iceburg lettuce and shredded carrot assortment you get at other places. We also got a free dessert due to it being Valentine's Day. I absolutely love it here and the pizza is amazing too.

This place is always great. The best in Lake Geneva, WI. GUINNESS on tap. WOW Ido not think you could have a bad meal here. It is always busy so we try to make it just off hours. Do not miss this place.

If you want to get away from touristy places in Lake Geneva, check out the Next Door Pub. We ordered the Chili Nachos and the Mac & Cheese Pizza - both were delicious! They also carry both Coke and Pepsi products which we thought was quite unique.

We stopped by this place last night on our way back to Chicago. We opted for this place as oppose to Gino's East due to the good reviews about their pizza and wings. And I really do love wings. Our waitress was nice and pleasant. We ordered a large half cheese and sausage, 20 pcs of wings with habanero and Parmesan garlic sauce, bowl of beer cheese soup(for the hubby and I) and two orders of fries. Being I'm from Chicago where good pizza and wings are abundant, I might have just a tad bit of high expectations. Pizza was okay, but I've definitely had better here in Chicago. The sauce is mediocre. Sausage on the pizza taste like the ones from a frozen pizza. Wings were okay, but definitely taste better than the pizza. However, just like what I said about their pizza, I've had better wings here in Chicago. One really good thing is their prices were actually pretty decent. We only paid $47 for all that we ordered. Unfortunately, if we are in the area again in the future, I don't think we'll make another stop here.

Great food, great wait staff. Very friendly family place. Best pizza and wings around the area.

AWESOME restaurant! ! Best wings and pizza around!!! Very busy in the summer months, plan on waiting a hour plus for seating but well worth the wait! ! Would like to see some type of "local" card to bypass the wait in the summer since the locals also eat there in the winter and keep them running when the tourists go home :-)

    (5)
  • Rowena K.

This place has phenomenal pizza and wings! Definitely a favorite place of mine to go to in Lake Geneva for good food and friendly service. If you live in the area like i do then you know that it can get quite crowded in the summer months due to it being a tourist/resort destination but still the food is worth the wait! They really know how to do an amazing thin crust!

  • Ree B.

The pub was packed, the wait was less time than expected. It was a busy, fast paced and family/friendly oriented environment. I was impressed by the servers patience and attitude. The Italian salad (large) was enough for the 6 people in my group. The philly cheese steak pizza was yummy. Meat Lovers awesome! Pizza was cooked to perfection! Our wings were some of the best I have ever had. We kept it simple with mild and bbq wings, both were tasty! We will visit every time we stay in Lake Geneva. A good find ! To top it off the prices were just right, perfect place to eat for a family on a budget!

  • Kyle D.

Some of the best pizza we've ever had, and we are from Chicago. Super cheap beer prices on beer with an appetizer salad that's huge. Could not recommend this place more, definitely one of the best places in Lake Geneva.

" WORSTTTTTT " food ive ever tasted!!! Shame the old owners sold a great establishment to Chad the new owner. He doesnt KNOW ANYTHING about REAL FOOD!!! His pizza tastes like crap, sauce is HORRIBLE,tastes like they use RAGU or CHEAP jar bought sauce. WONT ever go back, seems the ONLY clientel he gets are the LOCAL DRINKERS cause of his bar. If he EVER lost his liquor license,he wont SURVIVE in business !!!! Having small children,it was an UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE hearing DRUNKS at the bar cursing. Granted the restaurant has no control, but it just goes to show you what kind of "patrons" this place caters too. Awkward when your 6 year old asks you,,," Daddy was does that mean....that guy said "cock sucker".??? DEFINITELY WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE- EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY. Staff as you walk in are Rude and Obnoxious,NEVER see them smile. Like its an EFFORT for them to be there, only there cause they cant find a better job.

I really enjoyed my experience.... There was one waitress for the entire dining area on a Sunday afternoon. Drinks were full and food was quick. I recommend stopping in and giving them a try you wont be disappointed...The pizza was very good, the service was excellent. I love pizza and I rate pizza by the above star rating, to earn the coveted 5 star it has to be outstanding- this place was very close to a 5 star- We were short on an ordered ingredient BACON, that I could not taste but saw specs of, they went to heavy on the roasted red peppers- overwhelming, and the sauce needed more spice in the taste instead of tomato saucy taste- But the crust was very good, the sausage was very good and I was very impressed.

Great atmosphere and food. Bar fills up and dining area is usually crowded. Pizza is some of the best around with specials on any given day. Busy takeout. Worth a look.

  • TJ K.

The wings are to die for with a range of terrific sauces that says order at least two flavors for the table to appreciate the contrast in flavors. We moved on to a meat eaters pizza which was excellent. The place was packed, but we were seated almost immediately, and the service was timely and excellent.

While Next Door Pub does have a small bar this is a family restaurant. Based on the name and pics we were expecting more of a bar atmosphere however it's well lit, tables only, and well suited for kids. They have a large menu with lots of items that sounded good. We went with pizza since it seems to be popular here. Their pizza looks absolutely delicious but we didn't think it tasted as good as it looked. It has a thin cracker crust with toppings covered with cheese! Certainly not bad but based on looks I thought it might be the best ever. That said, this place was packed with a wait at 5 pm and had tons of carry out orders so it does seem quite popular. Our service wasn't the best. She did get drinks and take our order promptly but our pizza took a long time and she never came back to the table. Another waitress brought our food and got us refills when all 3 of our glasses were dry. We stopped her to ask for the check and she did a few other things before bringing it. Overall, this is a family spot with reasonable prices but the service wasn't great tonight and the food was just okay.

  • David L.

read yelpers' review so we tried it. burgers were good but buffalo wings were not tossed. they were plainly deep fried and came with dipping sauce. who the heck eats buffalo wings like that? not me. that was the worst part of the dinner. pictures shown of the wings are tossed but ours did not come like that - for that reason i give 1 star. unless i specify certain style of wings; all hot wings are tossed in general.

  • Missy R.

The Next Door Pub is close to a neat resale shop across the street but not close to down town Lake Geneva. The food was darn good, hot and tasty. The bowl of Wisconsin Cheddar with bacon was out of this world. The wait staff was friendly seemed concerned about your needs. Nice place, I will go back again.

    (4)
  • Jessica P.

The service, drinks, and food were amazing. This was the best pizza that I have had in a long time. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food provided. Definitely will be going back again.

Usually, Next Door Pub is amazing. However, tonight I had an unpleasant experience.. My server Joni(?), who is a manager at NDP, was ATROCIOUS. Like, on a $44 bill, I tipped the other 2 girls who helped me and left a 2¢ tip for Joanie(?). If you're a manager and your serving tables, you'd better be the best dang server ever! Therefore, it's 3 stars for the food and 0 (ZERO) stars for Joni's(?) service! Next time I go, if my server is going to be Joanie(?) I'm leaving. She sucks. BAD!

Excellent Chicago-style pizza from a guy with very high pizza standards. They use real spicy Italian sausage! I'll never understand pizza joints that don't use authentic Italian sausage, which happens a lot when I travel out of state. We went on a Sunday and ordered some wings, which were on special. They have some excellent sauce choices, a dozen or so of varying heat levels. I"m a wing nut as well. the wings themselves were fair though it could have been a mediocre batch. The atmosphere is OK with a small dining area separated from a large bar. The bar was jammed on the Sunday we visited and the bartender said it was normal. Probably due to the great specials. Excellent prices on beer with a decent selection on tap. I can't say enough about the pizza. We really enjoyed it, and the service was excellent. It seems more of a locals' joint, but you'll love the food.

Best pizza in/around Lake Geneva!!! 5 bottles of domestic beer for $10 plus sausage, pepperoni & onion thin n crispy pizza cut in squares ;) Great server/bartender Joel!!! Thanks for such great customer service!!!

Pizza was excellent! Italian salad was phenomenal! Loaded with the freshest if veggies! Great service!

This place is awesome. I love the boneless wings with your choice of sauce. Yum. They also have breaded shrimp that is so good. I love the cheesy garlic bread appetizer. It has this tomato dipping sauce that is the best I've ever had. It can get really crowded here but it's worth the wait.

Whenever I drove by, this place seemed pack no matter what time of day it was. Now I know why. Yummy garbage pizza ready for pick up in 30 minutes. This is by far your best pizza option in Lake Geneva. The crust is perfect, not soggy or slightly burned, and the toppings are plentiful, especially the amount of cheese. We bought a pizza one size bigger than needed for two people and were glad to enjoy the leftovers the next day. I thin our Large (14 inch) came out to about $18, but it was well worth it. Don't waste your time at other pizza places, just come here.

    (4)
  • Jen N.

Best pizza in this area by far! I'm dying to get pizza from here since I've moved back. Hope is the same because it's always crowded when I pass. I've also had lasagna, salad, and sandwiches here no disappointments across the board. YUM

I like this place. I really do. Nice variety of food. Food is tasty. A tad loud. Seats outside while waiting. -1 star for the waitress who couldn't be bothered. Hate to ding restaurant because I was alone, she figured I would not tip well. She was wrong. I tip for kindness and service. One other time I ordered delivery to the hotel. Quick delivery and tasty food. Definitely a repeater.

Thin crust pizza was good, but not spectacular... when we want thin crust, we're looking for cracker crisp thin crust that has spectacular crunch. While this was thin, it lacked the crispness that we've come to expect from some of the other places we've tried. What you'll really want to try are the wings... the chicken wings are seriously excellent. Fried to perfect crispyness and not over sauced, we thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer far more than the pizza itself. Great portions, friendly service, and we were lucky enough even to be in on a night where the local men's acapella group were practicing in the room next door. made for some very entertaining music! Verdict: A respectable pizza, but far better wings than average. Worth checking out if you're looking for some good local bar food, but not food I would travel for.

  • J D.

Probably the best or second best pizza in the area. Skips might be better. Lasagna is enormous and excellent although a wee bit salty . Cheese soup outstanding of you care for that thing.

I took my family on a little trip to Lake Geneva for Valentines day, not knowing what would be good, I went to yelp for help. My wife also used the phone book from our hotel room and the add said it was the best pizza in town, and by reading the comments on yelp it also matched up. This is by far the best pizza I had in years. We ordered the garbage pizza and I was impressed. The wings were ok, but the pizza was phenomenal. Now I know where I'll be eating next time we're in town.

The place with the tastiest pub food in LG is not at the lake..it's off the highway at Next Door Pub. I have had multiple sandwich specials and they are always delicious. For instance, they had a Cuban style pulled pork special that was excellent. The burgers are solid. The pizza is thin crust and we recommend the Mac and Cheese Pizza. For an appetizer, get the garlic bread with mozzarella. This is the place that our family asks to go to when they come to visit. It's also less expensive than most sit down places in LG and the surrounding area. Be aware that Friday and Saturday nights fill up quickly and it's not uncommon to have a 45+ minute wait.

This restaurant/bar was great. We were surprised to find that many sports bar around town were not playing the sound on the TVs during the NFL Playoffs and after bar hopping and calling many bars to find who was....we found this gem of a place. The minute we walked in it smelled of good Italian food. We sat at the bar and watched the NFL playoffs with sound, the staff as well as the patrons were nice and friendly, and their pizza and their BBQ molasses chicken wings were amazing!!! We will certainly come back and visit next time we are in Lake Geneva. I highly recommend this place.

  • Pearl T.

Thanks, Yelpers! The wings here were awesome! Came in on Sunday and they had a special of 10 wings for $5+ so I tried 10 of the Citrus Chipotle BBQ. When they came out, I knew they'd be yummy... and they did not disappoint. Hubby's burger, however, left a bit to be desired... ordered it medium and it came out well-done and tasted like your run-of-the-mill frozen patty. We also ordered a small pepperoni pizza for us to share with our 4-year old and that was pretty tasty. They do put on a nice thick layer of cheese (as thick as the thin crust) so ask for it light if you don't like that much. Hubby also got a Guinness which he said was perfect (it's crazy how some places can serve a bad Guinness.) The interior was surprisingly nice as well for a "pub". If we come back to the area again, we'll definitely visit here again!

    (4)
  • Holly W.

Great prices, good food, and a homey atmosphere for a sports pub. The pub part gets loud with the game on the TVs. Great ribs (tender and thick) and burgers at a fantastic price. The lemon cake was divine, and they had several good microbrews on tap.

I used to come here a lot when I was a kid and made the return trip with my grandmother last week. I have to say, the pizza is just how I remember it. I was told that the wings were a definite to get, I ordered some and didn't understand what the hype was. However, I got a wrap and that made up for it. Grandma got a small pizza and it was just how I remembered it. Still damn good. Service was spot on, the food is reasonably priced and friendly people. The bar area can get pretty loud if you're seated next to it.

OMG seriously the best pizza I have ever had!!! We got the Seafood pizza and the meaty pizza. The seafood was amazing and the meaty pizza was good as well but I really liked the seafood. The artichoke dip was ok but not the best I have ever had. The gal who took our order over the phone for delivery was a bit snotty but the delivery driver was super nice.

Technology & Yelp have once again pointed me in the right direction..... After a day at the water park, the kids wanted to eat somewhere off premises & the wife and I wanted to have a few beers. After a quick search with the Yelp app for iPhone, the decision was made to check this place out. Nice spot. It's the type of place that has charm...has a story....has flavor. By the looks of the building, they've added on to the building to accommodate their growth. I betcha that growth came from the pizza & the lasagna....WOW THEY WERE DELICIOUS. When a kid from Chicago can have a fantastic meal for two adults & two kids, a few beers & a jovial atmosphere for just a tad over $40, it's worth remembering. See you the next time I'm in Lake Geneva Next Door Pub.

There's a reason this restaurant is off the beaten path from all the tourist traps in Lake Geneva. It is a local gem. It was not only highly recommended to us by Yelp reviews but by employees at our local hotel. Try to go there once over a weekend at 7 o'clock and it was packed. Tried a little earlier on a Monday night and got in with just a 10 minute wait. It was well worth it! Had their spicy Thai chili chicken wings and although they weren't very spicy they were delicious. The kickin chicken pizza was out of this world. The layer of blue cheese sauce at the bottom really took it to another level. All of the wait staff was friendly and attentive and if we lived in Lake Geneva we would be here very frequently!

Meh. Came here for burgers. They were ok, the whole place lacked a bit of je nais quoi in my eyes.

5 of us Ladies went there for a friends 21st birthday (ages 21-43). Had to wait for a table so went to the bar. Corey our bar waiter said he'd be happy to serve us there so we ate in the bar. Corey had to run out for a quick delivery so Connie the bartender continued to serve us. Service was great. Food had always been good. I recommend trying the Texas Bling Wings. They are a combination of wonderful flavors, Yum!

Delicious burger, coconut shrimp was great especially the homemade cocktail sauce! Fast service, attentive waitress, clean bathroom. Top three pub/grills I have ever eaten and prices were extremely reasonable. We will absolutely go back!

Pizza was good pizza, deliver was quick, but the wings were disappointing. We accidentally ordered the "buffalo wing" were done with a dry rub instead of with buffalo sauces. They were bland, dry and left us craving real buffalo wings.

We had been looking for a fun new place where my husband and I can have a nice meal with the kids, have a drink or two and not break the bank. This place is our new fav! The pizza was excellent. We didn't get the salad but will definitely the next time-it looked awesome! Our bill was very reasonable for a family of 5. Will most definitely return soon!

Lived in the area for a long time and the pub has the best pizza and wings!! Go in on Wednesdays for lasagna night and see the awesome bartenders, Corey and Connie! You'll definitely have a good time!

Found ourselves driving through Lake Geneva tonight at 7pm on our way home from son's hockey game. Knew we'd have to wait, given the time on a Saturday night and that we are a family of 6, but were surprised by the hostess' declaration that the wait time was "AT LEAST an hour." She said it like she was hoping we'd choose to leave. We put our name in and decided to just wait it out. The bar was wall to wall people so we went back to the car for a bit and the kids killed time on the iPhones. After about 30 minutes we went back in to see how things were looking and were surprised to see several open tables while many people were still waiting. We thought we'd be called any time. After 15 minutes of open tables just sitting there, my husband asked where we were on the list. "Next" he was told. Ok. So a group of 4 ahead of us was called and seated at a table for 6. While there were 3 four top tables open! Then a party of two was seated at another six top!! 4 empty seats, wasted, by these two people being sat at a six top. My husband asked the hostess what was going on. He explained that we were a party of 6 and either of those two other parties could have gone to a four top so we could have been seated as well. The hostess became immediately defensive and asked "are you calling me stupid?" No!! We just want a seat and you clearly can't manage the seating chart on a busy Saturday night!! Anyway long story short, the manager sat our 2 adults and 4 Tweens/Teens around a round table made to seat 4. But we were seated! Our waitress was a little slow coming, but once she started her service with us, no complaints. We did have to watch the hostess gossip and point about her run in with my husband with some of the regulars, but whatever. The wings were AWESOME. We ordered honey mustard and barbecue and they were among the best we've ever had. The pizza was very good, we asked for it to be pulled a few minutes early so the bottom would not be crispy, my girls prefer it softer and the pizzas we saw coming from kitchen looked pretty crisp, and my son loved the Monster burger. Honestly, the food was so good we will go back for the wings, just not on a Saturday night! (This restaurant does have Pepsi, just thought I'd mention that since we Coke drinkers tend to care!)

Pizza came rather quickly but was literally a small bit of crust, meat and cheese. We got the meat lovers, but expected some sauce and less salt, I tasted meat and salt. If you like that go for it. If not try another place.

I just feel compelled to write how wonderful this place is. We have been coming here since my dad introduced it to us over 35 years ago! The pizza is THE BEST I've ever had. When our friends come up to visit they always want to go to "NDP". I'm also madly in love with the ribs and lasagna. Joni and Jessica are our favorites, but EVERYONE is so pleasant! Don't forget....BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD!

    (5)
  • Brad W.

Order early and be patient, it's worth the wait. 70 minutes for carry-out was a little excessive though considering we didn't even order pizza (1 salad + 1 pasta + 1 sandwich) so that's why I'm going 4 stars instead of 5

  • Vanessa C.

One of my favorite restaurants in Lake Geneva! They have been around for years and years, for good reason. I used to work up in that town many years ago and we would always get food delivered from here. Never let me down. Great food, great prices. Was recently up there with family (we dined in, my first time!) and they were shocked I recommended this place...until we ate. We had to wait a bit, granted it was Saturday night and summer. Everyone in my party loved their food....so much we got delivery for lunch the next day. The White Cheddar Cheese Curds were a major hit. Cheeseburgers are amazing. Pizza, as good as it gets north of Chicago. Two in my party had the lasagna - they loved it. Big portions, not expensive at all. Great atmosphere, fun and laid back. Even though it was busy the service was great. We all cannot wait to get back!

We stopped here during a recent visit to Lake Geneva and decided this was one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The prices are very reasonable for the portions and the Italian Beef is superb. The pizza was also good but a little too cheesy for my tastes. The homemade sauce on it is excellent though.

I ordered the pasta with meat balls. It was pretty good but I've eaten much better. The rest of the table enjoyed their pizza. The consensus was 3 stars.

This has always been one of our favorite pizzas in the area but after a bad customer service run-in last year we've had it on our "blacklist". Returned to the scene of the crime yesterday because of an apology from the management regarding our last experience. I have to say that there is a lot to be said for a business that takes the time and effort to contact someone after a poor review and ask, "How can we do better?". So we ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza for delivery....during the SuperBowl. Next Door Pub passed with flying colors. Ordering was painless, delivery was right on time (great for a busy pizza day), and the pizza came piping hot. Though I'm more of a pepperoni guy....I think this is one of the best sausage pizzas around. Great job NDP.....you're officially back in our rotation!

It was unbelieveable how great this pizza was,,yum! and very reasonable..it was absolultely packed in here for a tues at 5..the sandwhiches we saw going why were enormous and all under 8 bucks..thats what Im talking about! This pizza reminded me of kenosha pizza, were all the good ol' itallians make it as good as it gets! Mangia!

During our stay at Grand Geneva, we asked a few locals where to get some good pizza...this came up as the winner and just a few miles from the resort, a nice option. And they were right. Very good pizza. A thin, crusty on the outside, chewy on the inside crust topped off with an excellent ratio (and tasting) of cheese/sauce/toppings. She also ordered the lasagna, being the multiple item orderer that she is, and it might've been the best lasagna I've ever had. It screams home made in taste and appearance. Very well done all around!

The local pizza joint. Eat in or take out. They are quite busy on weekends. Our last visit was for a cheese pie and a veggie pie. All was eaten. Not the best but a great option for feeding a large group. The 2 orders of eggplant parmagia that we had as appetizers were enjoyed as well.

We had a bad experience here. Our pizza crust was soggy on both pizzas. The service was slow and several items forgotten as well. I would not recommend.

Best pizza and wings in town hands down. And the best part about this restaurant is its in lake Geneva without the snobby lake Geneva attitudes or prices!

Great pizza! Contrary to some other reviews, I thought the crust was a nice balance between cracker-thin thin crust and hand-tossed styles. The bottom was crisp while the middle of the crust was soft. Good amount of toppings and cheese too. Also had the grilled chicken supreme sandwich which was okay. Chicken was good but the cheese was the same type they put on the pizzas which doesn't taste like very good quality.

FANtastic! That is the one word to describe Next Door. No matter what you are looking for, or if you aren't sure what you are in the mood for, stop by this place, chances are, you won't be disappointed. I came here with my parents and sister on our last big family gathering in Delavan, and we had to try their pizza at the recommendation of a family friend. The pizza was good. It had a lot of toppings just like I like it. My parents and I decided to come back on the last night and I got the crayfish ravioli... holy crap! Homemade ravioli in a place with the name pub in the title? I am hooked. This place serves up great food and has incredible specials. Check it out on a weekend night for dinner and you will definitely find something interesting and delicious on their lists of specials. Have a beer, sit back, relax, and enjoy!

The Next Door Pub stands out for its decent home cooking and reasonable to moderate prices. It is not easy to find a restaurant in this resort town that has good prices for quality. The Next Door Pub does. One indication of that is its large, very large proportion of locals among its customers on any given night. Menu selection is mostly American Italian. The lasagna is very tasty and the pizza is not bad. There are one or two specials each evening. Decor and ambience are simple. There is a full bar in an adjacent room. The bar room has a few tables that supplement the dining space during busy times. It is also possible to eat at the bar tables. There is an enclosed porch with several tables. At one time, this space was set aside as a smoking area, mostly for smoking only, or for smoking with a drink. Service is competent. The servers generally handle the pressure of a rush pretty well. I suppose they encounter that quite a bit at the Next Door Pub. In summary, I recommend the Next Door Pub for an inexpensive, decently cooked Italian meal in Lake Geneva. Overall, however, the Next Door Pub is unremarkable in every way. Were it doing business in some town other than Lake Geneva, it would not be worth a mention.

Great pizza & wings. If you're craving wings... their selection of different flavors/sauces is awesome! Also love local micro-brews on tap! Excellent pizza room for kids, sports teams or groups. Call ahead for takeout or delivery too! Their portions are very large, so come with an appetite!

Decent food, so-so service. Our experience here didn't start of too well, but was salvaged by the meal. First, I arrived with my family (a group of 8). The hostess told us it would be a 15 minute wait- this ended up being an hour-and-a-half. Not only was there timing off, the hostess was incredibly rude when we asked how much longer it would be. When we were finally sat our waitress was very friendly and apologetic and got our drinks and appetizer order right away. Unfortunately, when the appetizer sampler arrived it was completely frozen! This platter was just your run-of-the-mill frozen mushrooms, chicken tenders and onion rings- I guess they forgot to keep it in the deep fryer the extra two minutes. They did rectify the situation and brought us out a fresh dish quickly and comped it from our bill. I ordered the Italian Beef, which was listed as one of their specialties. It was pretty darn good! The beef is freshly cut and prepared there, which was noticeable in the tenderness. Everybody else ordered something different-from pizza, to pasta to a burger-and were happy with the end result. Would probably go back again with a smaller group, I think our size is what tripped the experience up.

my lady and i were in town for the week from Chicago. I heard from a buddy to check this place out, so we did. It was just a wednesday night, but the place was pretty full. the waitress was SUPER nice and brought us our drinks/food quickly and with a smile. The pizza was intense. i got the meat pizza and it was LOADED with not only the 4 meats...BUT THE CHEESE!!!! If u dont like cheese, then as for minimal cheese cause their standard amount was a THICK layer!! Coming from Chicago, we have had our fair share of pizza, so we are tougher critics. This pizza was good, but nothing close to great.... We happened to be there on the night they had trivia too. it was a bunch of fun and keep the evening entertaining. Two people sitting there for two hours...eating appetizers, 2 pizzas and a bunch of beers and our bill was like $55!!!! Feel like we defintely got a lot of bang for our buck. All in all a nice evening and defintely a place to check out in Geneva...

Not as good as reviews. Went with family, nice atmosphere ,prices ok. Pizza tasted no better than frozen, the appetizers we ordered were typical bar fare priced right. The fettuccine Alfredo was so thick, and tasted if it came from a jar. Club sandwich was fair. Chips were original and very good. I think you would be better off coming here for burgers and appetizers. Service was very good.

First time back there in maybe 10 years...new addition and rehab of old space makes it much brighter and more open. Now...onto the good stuff...the food. Excellent extensive menu and beer list...better half had salad with tilapia...very good. My choice was the lasagna - it was among the best I've had. So...nice decor, good beer selection and good menu...we will be back.

3 alarm wings were great. Hot but not insanely hot. Pizza not bad but for thin crust too much cheese (surprisingly thick). We ordered the pizza with mushrooms onions and green peppers and they put a ton of the vegetables on but it doesn't get cooked out enough so it ends up making the pizza watery. I would suggest getting one vegetable and if you order any. Staff friendly and attentive and good wine for very reasonable prices. Spotted cow on tap along with Goose Island Matilda and other good choices. I'd go back. I'd like to try the other dishes.

We were craving pizza and Spotted Cow on draft. We checked the reviews and decided to give Next Door Pub a spin. It was fantastic. The service was awesome and welcoming. But the pizza is the real standout. The Meat Monster delivered - tons of smoky meat, a blanket of cheesy awesomeness all paired with the perfect sauce. Be sure to order a size smaller than you think you need because this is one substantial pie. We shared a cup of beer cheese soup to start. Thick and rich with the perfect amount of bacon mixed in. We are looking forward to returning on our annual trip.

Decided to give the pub another shot.what a disappointment and bad decision that was. We ordered a 14 inch cheese and sausage pizza and Italian beef with fries the beef was ok but the pizza was not edible it was cut into bite size pieces and the crust wasn't crisp at all it was very chewy and doughy so I Called back to inform them they were happy to replace it but when I got there to pick up the 2nd one there was somebody to deliver another one to our house so I took the one that was delivered and same thing with the crust and the delivery driver didn't believe my fiancé that it was paid for already and was anything but pleasant.we quit ordering from them before because our orders were always messed up.a frozen pizza would've been far better than the one I received.

We've been here several times and we've finally said never again. The sign outside often says "immediate seating", however upon entering you're greeted with a crabby hostess who says it will be "at least 20 minutes". 20 minutes goes by, then expect to wait another 20 minutes. If you dare ask how much longer, you'll again get a snotty "10 to 15 minutes". The pizza is only mediocre. The sauce is bland (tastes very tomato-pasty) and there is too much cheese.

There are a lot of pizza joints in the area, so this was just one we figured we would cross off of the list. We crossed it off, and then moved it to our "never go back" list. It wasn't awful, but there are some really good pizza places in the are, and this one just doesn't warrant a return visit. The wing sauce selection is okay, but they are not very flavorful. The cheese on the pizza was pretty good, but was a little rubbery, leading me to believe it sat a few minutes before being cut and sent to the table. MEH.

Definitely affordable! We ended up here when we discovered that just about everything else in town was closed. My husband and I decided to start w/an app.- the fried mushrooms. Shortly after we'd ordered, a HUGE basket arrived- and they were great- not house made great, but delicious none the less. The pizza (mushroom and peperoni) was thin, but had so much cheese I think weight wise it could compete w/a Malnati's pie! The sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but we both agreed that it was the most filling pizza we'd ever had. We were both really hungry, but couldn't even eat half of the small! Our server was always around for refills and really accommodating.

We love this place, It's crowded and noisy on weekends but the food is great and I lived in Chicago most of my life and this pizza is better. They have a double cheeseburger loaded with mushrooms and fried onions to die for and service is surprisingly fast even on a Saturday night,oh and the prices are very reasonable. Have not been disapointed with anything we ordered.

    (5)
  • Sue M.

Good food. Good prices. On the downside they have problems seating larger groups. Despite our calls ahead of time and their assurances that they could accommodate our groups, they made us wait a long, long time on both occasions.

This is a good economical option at Lake Geneva. 1) it's not downtown 2) free available parking 3) lotsa bang for your dining buck. It was a busy, packed sunday night but within 10 minutes, they were able to sit our party of six. We were all hungry but we still weren't prepared for the ginormous amount of food. My mom's lasagna could have easily served a family of four! I ordered bbq wings which were on sale that night ($4.95 for 10!) and by the time I got to my third one, I was pretty full. I had a pizza that was pretty good, even as leftovers the next day. The dads got matching bbq ribs on plates that were actually trays and they polished them off. Husband got the cod with french fries and his mom got the walleye. I managed to get some fork-fulls and all around, everyone was pleased. The place is loud and the people seemed friendly--I noticed complete strangers borrowing twin babies from a next table-who does that?? I was worried but relieved it was smoke-free. We didn't have drinks (except for a sprecher for me) and the bill was under $80 w/out tip. Lake Geneva: if I can't afford Sopra, I'll come here. Update: we are still working on that lasagna...4 days later.

Took a party of 8 to Next Door after a graduation. They accommodated us very well and service was very good. The place was crowded, but our server took good care of us. Pizza was terrific. My wife had a spinach salad and said it was very good. Great place to go with a group - they really take care of you.

Great thin crust pizza! Nice, light crispy crust, sauce has a little zing to it! I wish they pie cut vs. square bar cut. But overall one of the best pizza's around. Buffalo wings are good too. Decent beer selection. Basic bar food with decent quality, have't had any of thei Italian dishes, i stick to their pizza. Usually busy, tight parking and quarters at prime times. You will enjoy it.

Actually a 4+ star experience. It's off the strip, easy to find, easy to park (in Lake Geneva that can be an issue), and excellent service. The staff was friendly, helpful, and was there immediately with refills and busing. We started with the Kansas City Pork Wings (a new menu item). How they got that name I don't know, but they were excellent. 3 huge fall-off-the-bone ribs that were so delicious I almost canceled my dinner order to get another one of these so I could try a different sauce (we had terriyaki). Do yourself a favor and order these. Glad I didn't cancel my dinner order though. I asked the waitress what was better the walleye or the cod, and she said go with the walleye. Great choice - lightly breaded, not a fishy taste, and piping hot. The cole slaw was also excellent. My wife had the Gourmet Grilled Cheese and loved it. The only reason this was not a 5 star was the homemade chips. They were underdone and a little mushy. So make sure they get them crispy or order the fries. Get off the strip and try this place. We will be in Lake Geneva one more day and will be back to the Next Door Pub again before we leave.

My search for the best pizza in the Lake Geneva area started 6 years ago and ended 2 years ago when I walked into this place. Been back over 40 times and remains a favorite. Very affordable and family friendly just do the locals a favor and keep the kiddies out of the bar area despite the golf game. BTW this place also has the best chick wings in the area but go one notch down from the hottest unless it invloves a dare.

WEnt there for the first time yesterday. An unassuming place on the north side of Lake Geneva. The cheddar soup was very good as was the Heater (burger loaded with jalapenos) and sweet potato frys. Seems to cater to families and the prices were very good. Recommended as the foo dis good and much cheaper than the downtown Lake Geneva places.

  • Jonathan M.

This place has some of the best pizza in Lake Geneva. It's a thin crust piled high with toppings and a generous portion of cheese, which is just how I like it. Their sandwiches aren't too shabby either. I recommend the Cheddar BBQ Beef Sandwich. Just make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand. The only issue is both times I've dined in, it took quite a while from when we were finished eating until we received our check. I also recommend to go during the week or you may have to wait quite a while.

Great Pizza, Sprecher Root beer not in a pitcher any more, good thin crispy crust that has beer in it, very destictive taste, dinning aread and bar is just like any other place, less 2 stars for not having Sprecher Root beer in a pitcher.

Our large noisy extended family - 11 people including 2 boisterous toddlers - had a delicious, Spotted Cow fueled pizza lunch there on New Years week-end. We were all cold & hungry after a morning of sledding and ice skating and the fast friendly service and welcoming servers made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was casual, but not overwhelming - football on TV and lots of families, but not so noisy you couldn't have conversations. We had 3 large pizzas - the meat lovers, vegetarian and the pizza margharita - and all three were delicious! The thin crust is crispy and perfect and the toppings were generous and well balanced. The pizza margharita had plenty of fresh mozarella and spinach. The 2 year olds had the hot dogs from the kids menu, which were real flavorful juicy franks, not the pale small supermarket dogs that usually appear from a kids menu. When the bill arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find it just over $100.00 - not bad at all for 11 hearty eaters and enthusiastic beer drinkers. We will be back!

Great place. Always busy but have ample space so when you have to wait on weekends it's not very long. Very good pizza. And coming from Chicago, i know a Few things about pizza. I like their sausage and beef combo sandwich. My wife swears by their garlic cheese bread. My Dad enjoys the pasta and it is a great deal and great price for the amount of food including a side and bread. There is a bar too if that's all you are looking for. We having been going for what seems like 30 years at least. Highly recommended. Great and friendly staff. TVs to watch sports as well. Can handle bigger groups. Do yourself a favor and try it out

Really really nice spot. Really good pizza. We also had wings. Nice variety of sauces! And shrimp wings appetizer was really good too! And cooked perfectly! Really liked the mango habanero sauce! (They were nice enough to bring us extra sauce samples to try!) great service, thank you Moses. Overall a place we will def frequent when out this way. Oh, and we had 3 kids with us. They are extremely family friendly! Plus for adults a nice selection of local beer! Nailed what they are trying to be!

Came here twice in one weekend while on vacation. I'm from Chicago, and I'm mad picky about bar food. This place is without a doubt the BEST bar food I've ever had. Shrimp wings--best shrimp I've ever had and I'm from Cali Wings--delicious and they have a 10 for $5 and 20 for $10 on Sunday's Ribs--the half rack of ribs is definitely a full rack...fall off the bone and $12!!!!! What?!!!! Chicken tenders--the best I've ever had and I've had a lot. Pizza--had he garbage pizza and it was HUGE and delicious. I couldn't recommend this place more. And the best part. Almost all locals so you know it's legit. And everyone is so friendly :)

Tip: go here to get away from tourists. Good selection at bar. One is a local LG brewer called....lake Geneva brewery. Solid food. Pizza, burgers and pastas. Sunday is their wing special. Opened a small patio for waiting / appetizers Also lasagna nite is Wednesday. $7.95 and it comes with salad. Da bomb!

When we drove past this place I knew I was going to be back! The tourist traps in town weren't working for me. So as we were leaving I said! Pull Over Pa. We're strappin on the feed bag! The dining room was full of families and that was what we were running from. So I headed straight for the bar. The drinks were right on the money. And the Eagle eyed bartender knew what, "Put mine on Auto ship" meant. As I glanced at the menu I immediately noticed that the prices were almost 50% less then the waterfront trap that we were just at. I started with the mushrooms. Crispy, hot and the ranch amazing! They also have a cucumber wasabi sauce that I wanted to try, but I didn't see it until after I ordered. The onion rings were just as good and both were generous helpings. I went straight down the line and ordered the Pub Club with sweet potato fries. The fries were cold but the sandwich made up for it. I knew to follow the locals to good chow. Friendly service and great food at ridiculously low prices.

Walked in as the doors opened on a Sunday, by the time we were ready to place our order the place was packed. Not full, not crowded, but PACKED. Having never been here before, we probably did what we shouldn't have, ordered a lot of apps and food. Pizza is very good, we did not know the brat bites were deep fried, but they were good, as were the cheese curds; wings stole the show, though they offer a lot of "sauces" none of them really distinguished themselves, but neither did they take away from the wings which would have been fine naked and just dipped in sauce. Nice beer selection, enough televisions to keep you entertained, and the bar looked kind of cool (had kids so did not actually venture in). Definitely a place to check out. Seems to be a place to go to avoid the tourists.

  • Michael C.

This place is busy all the time for a reason. All the food and all the drinks are very reasonably priced and very good. Best Italian Beefs around by a mile. You'll be hard pressed to spend more than $10 on an entree - and that's with a soup or salad and great bread. The prices here embarrass the other fancy Italian joints that get $15++ for 75 cents worth of pasta. Try it - you'll love it!

Went here with my family. Family of 6. We had lots of food that was amazing. There prices are worth the food. I would definitely go here again. We even had lots of left overs. The waitress dealt with my crazy family well. Love this place and there food.

One word...awesome. Just had the new reubites appetizer and taste was fresh and creamy. Also had new Mac and cheese pizza. Sounds odd but very tasty especially the green onions which add a nice snap to the cheeses goodness. Oh and did i mention there's bacon too. Enough said. Try it all with an Alaska amber ale. Heaven.

DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT OR DELIVERY!! Next Door Pub will get it wrong. Every time. Coming from a local business in LG, we order from there quite frequently. Without fail, the order is wrong. The food is great and always hot but the order is never right. If we didn't enjoy the food so much, we wouldn't bother. Please get it right!!!

Have eaten there twice. First time with my son - we had the pizza - fantastic. Second time was with the wife. I had the lasagne and the wife had stuffed shells. They were both delicious. Huge servings too. I don't remember the exact price but our entrees were like $8 - $9 each and came with soup or salad and a bread stick. What an amazingly low price. The service was over the top - quick and great. Itis easy to see why this is a place where the locals hang out. No freeway crowd here. One nice touch is that the restaurant and bar are in separate rooms.

Not a bad place but it's always so busy . Takes to long to get to get your food and the pizza is just ok they tend to hire young people who don't know how to give great service just because the girls look pretty don't mean they are good at food service industry nothing special just ok

As a local, one of my favorites pizza places. Their pizza has has a crispy crust and tons of cheese. I also really like the garlic cheese bread. This is our family's "go-to" restaurant, VERY family friendly, and the staff is nothing but great. This place can get crowded, so show up early or prepare to wait a bit.

  • Mary Ann C.

We chose this restaurant solely based on the Yelp reviews, as we were looking for a new place to try in Lake Geneva. We were surrounded by primarily local people, as it did not seem like there were many tourists here. The dining rooms were completely full within 15 minutes of the opening time on a Sunday. The wings and pizza were great. Very tasty. Service was pretty uninterested in whether we were enjoying ourselves or whether we were in need of anything. The kitchen was very, very slow with our food. Our visit was about 1.5 hours. Not good when you have four hungry kids and four even hungrier adults. Will not return.

  • Alan B.

We came here for dinner before going to see a concert at Alpine Valley. There was a bit of a wait to sit in the restaurant, so we opted to sit at the bar. The bar tenders were not very attentive, and were very loudly throwing glass bottles into the trash, it was startling. I ordered a cheeseburger and was never asked how I wanted it done, of course it came back very well done. My friend ordered wings, which never came. We were then told that the bartender forgot to put them in. We didn't have time to wait so she had to get them to go. They very nearly made us late for our show. Lake Geneva was a great town, and I'll be back, but I won't be going to the Next Door Pub.

Next Door Pub is my favorite place to go and get a bite to eat. It is a place to go if you're a local or a tourist! They have a great fish fry on Fridays and award winning pizza! The staff is more than helpful and very knowledgeable of the menu. If you can't decide what to get, I highly recommend the lasagna! Everything is delicious on the menu and never had a problem with their food or service. Make sure you stop in sometime and try it for yourself!

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Always packed for some reason with horrible service everytime. Here now its thursday waited 20 min for a table..waited 35 min for server, waited 20 more for drink, which was wrong so waited 10 more mins. Wed been there well over hour n a half before we got food. Uhh

Simply awful. Ordered an Italian sandwhich and got a dried out roll with a dried out sausage. Not to mention that it was terrible sausage to boot. I also ordered fries, which were soggy and Luke warm. I would not recommend this.

Stopped in at the recommendation of a local. Pub is divided in two - the restaurant and the pub, each with a separate entrance. I opted for the bar which wasn't too busy given it was 3 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. Sat down and waited, and waited for the bartender or any of the 4 other employees standing around talking to take my order. Got up and grabbed a drink menu off a table in the restaurant. The barkeeper finally noticed me (although he set down a bottle of wine in front of me 5 minutes previously). Ordered the burger special of the day - Monterey Burger - bacon, cheddar, avacado. Order came up quickly.

While the food in this place might be good, the hour plus wait for a table while smaller groups were seated past our party of 7 is completely unacceptable. Seating no less than 9 groups before us instead of sliding a few tables together is a crappy way to treat guests. For shame.

Had dinner with my family on Monday night and the place was jammed! Now we know why, the pizza was delicious! I was also pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived, one of the more reasonably priced restaurants in the area. We will definitely go back again. My only complaint, they don't deliver to Geneva National.

Bad bad bad....say no more!!! Looking out for everyone and their hard earned money! Read the reviews and thought it would be ok people must never had good Italian food waitress was not nice I don't care how much a meal cost as long as it's good chunks of tomatoes instead of a sauce all over a tiny piece of 2 noodled lasagna..awfull!!! Locals need to go to Racine Wisconsin then you'll see what Italian food should taste like.....anywhere really but here!

  • Nancy R.

The restaurant says that it delivers to hotels. What it doesn't say is that it doesn't provide plasticware or napkins. Travelers in hotels don't pack those things. Now I get to eat salad with my fingers and wipe my fingers on my jeans or I get to tip room service for bringing me that which the restaurant was supposed to supply. The food, though decent, is not worth the overpriced, underperforming hassle.

Food and service are good and they don't gouge you on prices like the tourist traps downtown. My reason for three stars is because every single time I order something to go (at least five times now) the order has come wrong or incomplete. Frustrating. Also, this last time the delivery guy shorted my change. Great place to dine in but I won't order delivery anymore.

The food was great. Service was good. Nice little restaurant and bar. Very cozy. Small town feel.

This place sucked. We had the overpriced fish dinners and they were frozen distributor grade crap and frozen fries(I mean come on, cut up a potato and fry and it). Granted this isn't a fish place, but if that's what you are going to serve - take it off the menu. 2 stars cause the artichoke dip was good.

I love the next door pub! I've been coming here since I was a kid, the pizza is always awesome!! The only thing that sucks is the wait on the weekends but it is worth it!!

As an enthusiastic eater of pizza, I whole-heartedly recommend this place. We had the meat eaters special, and it was killer. Great sauce, crisp crust and a boatload of meat. That coupled with their way above average beer selection and homemade salad dressing makes this a must revisit.

I'm slightly biased since I spend most of my weekends bellied up to this bar, but I love this place. Service is always great, food is outstanding, and the beer is always ice cold.

8 kids vs 8 parents... I think the kids won. But the restaurant was really great with accommodating our large group. Definitely get the pizza (ask for it well done). For an appetizer get the shrimp with mango habanero sauce... AMAZEBALLS. It's definitely a fun place to go if you're in Lake Geneva.

Ordered delivery on a Wednesday night - was quoted 1 hour & it arrived in :45. Meat lasagna was fantastic but should get a better container for transport. Only reason for 3 vs 4 stars is the lack of quality control on my daughter's meal. Simple order of mostaccolli with butter (no sauce, no cheese) for both kids (one each). One came as ordered, one came with sauce & cheese. Can't blame the individual who took the call as the ticket was right - need to look at the QC of the individual who reviewed the order before it went out the door. To the credit of the restaurant they took care of the issue by making a fresh order to replace the incorrect one - albeit I had to go & pick it up vs. sending it out with the next delivery (not too hard to do normally). Better to-go containers & better QC = easy fixes.

Best pizza in the area hands down plus they deliver to the local area and of course the resorts. The sheer amount of mozzarella on a large pizza from here has to be 2lbs easy! Nice options outside of pizza as well including pastas, burgers, sandwiches and a full bar.

We have been to the pub more than once and always have amazing service and a great time we come every time we are in Lake Geneva!! Great service in the dinning room Jessica was our server more than once and we love when we have her, we always make sure to ask for her if she's working! We love having after dinner drinks at the bar, the Joel and Rude show is simply an experience in itself, a MUST DO!! If we can't catch that show, Connie can hold her own! She's the most friendly person you ever meet, great service with a smile! She's great!! If you get anything out of this review its that The Next Door Pub is the place to be!! Done and done!!
